Chief Executive Officer

 

Enjella Mazaher serves as the CEO of ACE. As CEO, she is responsible for providing and determining strategic goals for the organization, annual planning, establishing rigorous governance systems for the ACE project portfolio, managing the organization’s finances, overall management, program, and business development, and representing ACE in both national and international forums. Ms. Mazaher believes in building and supporting the capacity of Afghan women, youth, and the workforce as a whole to drive Afghanistan’s sustainable development. Before being named ACE’s CEO in September of 2020, Ms. Mazaher served as ACE’s Chief Projects Officer, leading some of ACE’s most impactful and successful projects, working with partners including ERRIN (European Return and Reintegration Network), the Agha Khan Foundation, UNDP, and the Afghan-Australian Alumni Association. Prior to her tenure at ACE, Ms. Mazaher served as Senior Project Manager for USAID, where she managed the Afghanistan Workforce Development Project (AWDP); she also served as a part-time assistant professor at the Kabul University Faculty of Languages and Literature. Ms. Mazaher holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Kabul University and a bachelor’s degree from Kabul University in English Language and Literature.
