SYED KAMAL, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr. Syed Kamal holds an MBA in Operations Management from India. He received his Masters degree in English literature from Pakistan. Mr. Kamal is the leading M&E expert and has 13 years of rich experience in business planning, business operations, business management and support. He worked for the Private Sector, USAID, DFID, Danish Committee, and UNDP in key positions. He has been involved in multimillion dollar programs that include Land-Reform, Investment Climate Reform, Safe Water Supply, National Solidarity Program, and National Area Based Development Programs. Mr. Kamal is fluent in Pashto, Dari, and English.
FARAHNAZ ZAFARKHIL, PROJECT OFFICER
Farahnaz Zafarkhil holds Bachelors degree in International Relations and minor in Anthropology from American University of Central Asia (AUCA). She did her BBA from Maiwand University. She has been involved in social and educational activities inside and outside Afghanistan such as PIMUN and HULTPrize in Afghanistan; AUCAMUN Kyrgyzstan, EVERESTMUN Nepal and SILKROADMUN Kazakhstan. She is fluent in Pashto, Dari, Urdu, English & Russian.
HASSIBULLAH HAFIZI, PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER
Mr. Hassibullah Hafizi holds a diploma in Business Administration and has completed his IT certification. His experience lies in accounting, administration, training related services and coordination between public and private entities. He also has extensive knowledge of private sector development. Heh is fluent in Pashto, Dari and English.
SONIA BABAKARKHIL, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES ASSISTANT
Ms.Sonia Babakarkhil has diploma in management from National Institute of Management and Administration the only ACBSP accredited institute in Afghanistan. She received Quality Announce Certificate of Ball State University USA, the International Partner of NIMA. She also has received a certificate in QuickBooks software from USAID. She worked as English and Mathematics teacher in Subh-e-Omid Education Center. Currently she is working in ACE as a Employment services assistant.
TAHMINA HAIDARE, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Ms. Tahmina Haidare received her BA in International Relations and Law from Kingston University, London. She is leading the project management team for ACE, which is comprised of 21 key individuals. Ms. Tahmina has rich experience in project management, communication, training and capacity building. She worked in 3UPNET Ltd in the field of communications, and in FKH Media as a Project Manager. She also possesses training and capacity development experience working with UNAMA and the Private Sector in Afghanistan. She earned a Master Trainer’s Certificate to design and facilitate competency based course curriculums. Ms. Tahmina is involved in the development of proposals and concept notes, and had been part of some important workshops on human rights in Afghanistan and Europe. She is fluent in Dari, English, and Pashto.

Mr. Rahmanullah Rahmani holds certificates in QuickBooks, Sales and Marketing and advanced diploma in Business Administration from National Institute of Management and Administration (NIMA). He is involved in project implementation and assisting ACE management in smooth training deliveries.
ELHAMUDDIN HAYDARI, PROJECT OFFICER
Mr. Elhamuddin Haydari holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB). He has also secured certification in IT and English language. Mr. Haydari assists ACE management with project coordination and smooth operation. He is fluent in Pashto and Dari languages.
MOHAMMAD AJMAL KAMRAN, PROJECT ASSISTANT
Mr. Mohammad Ajmal Karman has diploma in Management from National Institute of Management and Administration (NIMA), the only accredited institute in Afghanistan. Currently he is working as Project assistant at ACE. Before joining ACE, he worked as an English and Mathematics teacher in Danish English and Computer Academy. He is fluent in Pashto, Dari and English.
BARIALY AHMADZAI, DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION
Mr. Barialy Ahmadzai has a Master’s degree in Business Studies (MBS) and is a member of Institute of Public Accountants of Australia with an associate membership of the Institute of Financial Accountants (UK). Prior to Joining ACE, Mr. Ahmadzai was Director Assurance at Grant Thornton in Afghanistan which is one of the top audit and advisory firms in the world. Mr. Ahmadzai has extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, US GAAP and International Standards on Auditing and has several years’ of experience managing sizable assignment portfolio including auditing, corporate and public financial management, transaction advisory, risk assessment and system reviews. His client portfolio included financial institutions, extractive industry sectors, projects funded by international organizations in Afghanistan such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Asia Foundation, UNO, USAID and several government ministries. Mr. Barialy is fluent in Pashto, Dari, English and Urdu.
ARIFA HASHIMI, FINANCE OFFICER
Ms. Arifa Hashimi holds a BBA degree in Economics and Management. She has over 4 years of professional working experience in finance and teaching. She is a volunteer with the Afghan Women Writing Project and received training in gender equality and human rights. She is fluent in Dari and English.
WAHAB KOTWAL, FINANCE OFFICER
Mr. Wahab Kotwal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with majors in finance from Pune University India. Mr. Kotwal also has a diploma in Marketing, HRM, Finance and Production & Operations Management. After successfully completing his internship with ACE, Mr. Kotwal is now working as a Finance Officer with Afghanistan Center for Excellence (ACE). He is fluent in Pashto, Dari, English and Hindi.
MOHAMMAD YOSUF MUKHLIS
Mr. Mohammad Yosuf Mukhlis has earned his Master’s degree from India. Mr. He was an active member of Pune University Student Council, he has taken part in different project reports on microfinance banking and (Study of Working Capital Management) of various small and medium-sized enterprises located in the state of Maharashtra. He is proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and QuickBooks. Mr. Mohammad Yosuf Mukhlis is fluent in Pashto, English and Dari.
ENJELLA MAZAHER, DIRECTOR OF PROJECTS
Ms. Enjella Mazaher received her BA from Kabul University. She has 4 years of working experience in teaching, training & capacity development, translation, management and coordination. Her professional career started from working with Afghanistan Relief Organization as an English Teacher. She worked as Capacity Development Officer with Afghanistan Holding Group, and as a TOEFL instructor at the Iranian Embassy. She was part of the career development training program inside and outside the country. She is fluent in Pashto, Dari, and English.
ABDULLAH GHAZNAWI SALEHI, CALL CENTER OPERATION SUPERVISOR
Mr. Abdullah is pursuing his Bachelors in Business Administration from Maiwand University of Afghanistan. He has more than four years of experience in Administration and Management and teaching English language. Mr. Salehi is supervising more than 200 call center agents for ACE working in Etisalat customer call center. He is fluent in Pashto, Dari, and English.
MAHDI GOWHARI, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES MANAGER
Mahdi Gowhari holds a BA in Economics from Kabul University. He has extensive experience of working with numerous organizations in Afghanistan. He has a pleasant personality, and believes in value of communication and teamwork for efficiency of an organization. His articles have been published in popular national magazines such as Afghanistan Central Bank, Chambers of Commerce etc. Mr. Gowhari is working in the capacity of a Project Officer at Afghanistan Center for Excellence and is engaged in various stages of project implementation.
ALI LAWANGIN, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES ASSISTANT
Mr. Ali Lawangin received his BSc with honors from Faryab University. His professional career started with Chemonics USAID ATAR project as an intern. Subsequently he worked as customer care consultant with Etisalat Afghanistan. He has received trainings in TIR awareness program, Afghanistan Accession to WTO, Hostile Environment Awareness Training, Communication Across Culture, Project Bidding and Human Resource Management. He is fluent in Pashto, Dari, and English.
SHABANA MANSOORY, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Ms. Shabana Mansoory received her Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Kabul University, in 2012. She has demonstrated commitment to developing women’s professional aptitudes and facilitating their entry into the Afghan workforce by supporting internship programs focusing on young women’s professional training and development, through her five years of career in non-for-profit sectors and USAID funded projects. She has been considered as revolutionary in young women leadership through her activities in national chapter of world’s largest student run organization “AIESEC Afghanistan” from being an exchange participant to becoming the first female executive board member in 2013. She has launched/associated with a number of events/initiatives in Afghanistan, such as the first version of “Afghanistan Youth to Business Forum” and “TechWomen Afghanistan”. She is currently involved in trainings and capacity building programs delivery and facilitation. She is fluent in Dari, Pashto, Urdu and English.
NASIR KHAN NASIRI, TRAINER
Mr. Nasir Khan Nasiri earned his MBA from Kardan University and joined Afghanistan Center for Excellence in January of 2017. Mr. Nasiri has extensive experience serving both governmental and non-governmental organizations. In addition, Mr. Nasiri worked at Supreme Audit Office of Afghanistan, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development and has 10 years of academic working experience at different private universities. Mr. Nasiri is fluent in Pashto, Dari, English and Urdu.
ZAKIRULLAH ZAKI, TRAINER
Mr. Zakirullah Zaki currently doing his MBA and received bachelor degree in Business administration from Dunya university of Afghanistan. He has received two years diploma in accountancy from NIMA institute and a certificated in fundamentals of accountancy from Ball state university. He has gotten English diploma and certificates in Information technology, Business communication and M&E.
He has worked with Afghan Women Social Development and Capacity Building Organization as master trainer and with ministry of commerce as trainer. Besides, he has worked with Bureau for Reconstruction and Development, CAPAU, NRC and Ministry of Finance. Currently, Mr. Zaki is working as a marketing trainer in ACE. He is fluent in Pasto, Dari and English.
MASOOD AHMAD, PROJECT ASSISTANTMasood Ahmad holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bakhtar University in Afghanistan. Prior to joining ACE, Mr. Ahmad worked at Afghanistan Investment Climate Facility for 3 years. He has been a member of Open Debating Society of Afghanistan as well as a member of Bakhtar University’s Debate team. AQIL SHAH AYAZ, REGIONAL COORDINATOR- EASTERN ZONE
Mr. Aqil Shah Ayaz is a Senior MD student at Rokhan Medical University Nangarhar. He has 9 years of teaching and managerial experience. Before joining ACE as Internship Placement Officer and subsequently as Regional Coordinator – Eastern Zone, Mr. Ayaz taught English classes at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education Jalalabad branch. He is fluent in Pashto, English and Urdu languages.

Mr. Wase Seddiqi holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. He has over seven years of professional experience in management, coordination and training. He has worked as the Chancellor for Mirwais Neeka University in Kandahar. He is fluent in Pashto, English, Dari and Urdu.

Mr. Ahmad Kabir Amirzay has a BA in Economics from Balkh University. He has years of professional experience in teaching, training & capacity development and project management. His professional career started with Top Speed Group as a Marketing Manager. Subsequently Mr. Amirzay has served as Job Development Officer and Job Placement Specialist with several organizations including INTEGRATION ES Afghanistan LTD. SULEMAN FATIMIE, MANAGING PARTNER
Mr. Suleman Fatimie earned his MBA from UK with specialization in Human Resource Management. Prior to establishing the Afghanistan Center for Excellence, he was the CEO of Harakat-Afghanistan Investment Climate Facility (2009-2011). He also worked as the CEO of Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan (EPAA) from 2007 to 2009. He designed exportable offers and advocated for the creation of a business enabling environment in Afghanistan. EPAA was awarded the Best Trade Promotion Organization from least developed countries by ITC (International Trade Center). He also served as the Vice President of Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) from 2003 to 2006, advising and consulting the high commission on investment to remove business barriers and enabling AISA to become a one stop shop for investors. He is fluent in Pashto, Dari and English.
