29 Jul ITC – Afghanistan National Export Strategy Development (NES)

ITC is implementing an EU-funded project in Afghanistan to assist GIROA in improving the conditions for regional cooperation and trade as a lever for economic and human development and poverty reduction.

ACE is supporting ITC to strengthen human and institutional capacity on trade policy and strategy formulation through active engagement of the private sector. Under this agreement, ACE has the following responsibilities:

• Facilitate Kabul-based stakeholders’ consultations
• Lead the moderation of sector-specific provincial stakeholders’ consultations
• Contribute to the write-up of strategy documents
• Conduct face-to-face interviews with private sector to further investigate key competitiveness issues
• Assist ITC in the identification of suitable national sector experts
• Assist ITC in identifying buyers in regional markets and support the organization of roundtable meetings

Attend and contribute to key P&P strategy team’s meetings
