17 Mar Refresher Labor Market Assessment (LMA)

Through the TAALIM program, Mercy Corps (MC) is the Monitoring and Evaluation lead of the including the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), Aga Khan Foundation – Afghanistan (AKF-A), and the Danish Committee for Aid to Afghan Refugees (DACAAR). The objective of the program is to promote inclusive (re)integration of returnees, IDPs, and potential migrants in communities which are highly susceptible to migration or which experience high return rates.

MC contracted ACE to assess the supply and demand aspects of the labor market in the 12 target provinces of the TAALIM program and to provide recommendations for increasing job opportunities for IDP, returnee and host community job seekers there. The refresher LMA should build on and fill the gaps in the findings of an LMA conducted in early 2018, especially with respect to assessment of emerging skills and obtainment of qualitative data.
