This research was focused to strengthen and broaden the AKDN initial SME pipeline review in Afghanistan and to develop a more robust of the market place, future resources and scope and financial ecosystem for early stage enterprises and their suitability for the two future AKDN planned programs; EGA (Enterprise growth accelerator) and EDP (Enterprise development platform).

The assessment also included a high-level mapping of appropriate business incubators who can offer incubations and business advisory services and potentially flexible risk finance to local for-profit commercial enterprises.
