WE TAKE PRIDE IN OUR WORK
ACE carried out a project for the International Trade Center (ITC) to enhance the capacity of Asia’s least developed countries for inter-regional trade. ACE identified and surveyed 10 local SMEs already exporting to China and provided an in-depth analysis on procedures and the export methods of traded products including carpets, handicrafts, saffron, pine nuts and semi-precious stones. The result of the analytical work was used to define the content of the training for SMEs.
Since 2014, ACE has been providing support with the implementation of University Development and Workforce Development Program, counseled more than 2,000 students across 11 universities in Afghanistan on topics such as personal development, business management, and employability skills. ACE counseling and referral services have resulted in more than 500 graduates securing internships and permanent jobs. ACE has also facilitated the program with the establishment of University-Industry Advisory Councils in Kabul, Balkh, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Herat, Khost, and Kunduz provinces.
ACE also provides employees training in the private sector. Etisalat Afghanistan and Roshan Telecom have received ACE trainings on the topics of project management, emotional intelligence, financial management and leadership. For Roshan Telecom’s employees, ACE also organized and executed two training programs: the Leadership Development Training (LD) and the Project Management Professional Training (PMP). The LD Training taught 18 female employees negotiation skills, communications skills, assertiveness, employee motivation, change management and effective management skills. The PMP Training was a 6-month certification program that ACE conducted to train 20 Roshan employees. The training program enabled participants to successfully take the online PMP exam.
